Machado Joseph Disease Foundation
28 June The Sutherland Shire Lioness Club presented a cheque for $1000 to the Machado Joseph Disease Foundation to help a young sufferer.
The Australian Lions Foundation
The Australian Lions Foundation was formed by Lions with the sole purpose of assisting people in time of need.
9 July 2009:The Foundation has granted a generous amount to the Sutherland Shire Lioness to enable the club to assist a local family with a profoundly physically & intellectually disable daughter. The grant will be used to convert their car to accommodate a wheelchair.
Trivia Night
22nd August 2009 The Trivia night held for Star Performers & Twinkle Stars Dance Studio raised over $4000.
Movie Premiere - Fundraiser
15th October Movie Premiere Fundraiser Couples Retreat - a benefit for a special little girl. The event turned out to be a sellout. Guests were treated to Crust Pizza & Champagne, goodie bags & laughs. Without the help of many friends, family & community we would not have been able to have had such A great night & a great fundraising success.
The Melanoma Foundation
22nd October 2009 Sutherland Shire Lioness Club presented Professor Bill McCarthy from the Melanoma Foundation with a cheque for $27,000. The proceeds of the telesales project.
